Quick Start
Get up and running with ServiceCortex in minutes
This guide walks you through the essential steps to go from a fresh account to your first scheduled job. The whole process takes about ten minutes.
Sign up for an account
Head to the ServiceCortex sign-up page and create your account with your email address. You will receive a verification email -- click the link to confirm your account and log in for the first time.
Set up your company profile
Navigate to Settings > Company and fill in your company details. Add your company name, upload your logo, set your timezone, and choose your default currency. These details appear on proposals, invoices, and client-facing documents, so take a moment to get them right.
Add your first client
Go to Clients in the main navigation and click New Client. Enter the client's name, email, phone number, and billing address. If the client has a specific service location, you can add a property under their profile after creation.
Create your first job
Navigate to Jobs and click New Job. Select the client you just created, give the job a descriptive title (for example, "Initial site inspection"), and choose the job type. Add line items to define the scope of work and pricing.
Schedule an appointment
From within the job, click Add Appointment. Pick a date and time, set the expected duration, and assign a team member. The appointment will appear on your shared calendar and on the assigned team member's schedule.
Send a proposal
If the work requires client approval before you begin, go to Proposals and click New Proposal. Select the client, add line items for the quoted work, and customize the message. Click Send to deliver the proposal by email. Your client can review and approve it online with a single click.
